Terms of Service
The terms this website is offered on, and the basis on which we compose and arrange a journey — set out before you need them rather than after.
Last updated · 25 August 2026
These terms govern your use of this website, and the basis on which we take an enquiry and arrange a journey. Reading them takes a few minutes; needing them and not having read them takes considerably longer.
01These terms, and who they bind
By using this website, or by sending us an enquiry through it, you accept these terms. Where they say “we” or “the house”, they mean Sunday pure holidays of Mumbai, India. Where they say “you”, they mean the person using the site — and, once a journey is booked, everyone travelling under that booking, whose details you confirm you are authorised to give us.
02What we actually do
We compose journeys and arrange them. The hotels, airlines, rail operators, drivers, guides, lodges, cruise lines and local partners who deliver the journey are independent of us — we book them on your behalf, we do not own or operate them.
That distinction matters when something goes wrong, so it is stated here rather than in the small print: we are answerable for the care we take in composing your journey and in making the arrangements. Each supplier is answerable for the service it provides, on its own terms, which we will put in front of you before anything is confirmed.
03An enquiry is not a booking
The concierge form opens a conversation. It does not reserve anything, hold anything, or commit either of us. Nothing is booked until we have confirmed it to you in writing and the payment due at that point has been made.
Until then, everything discussed — dates, rooms, routes, prices — remains subject to availability at the moment of confirmation.
04Quotes and prices
A quote reflects what the journey costs on the day it is written. Until it is confirmed and paid for, it can move — because availability changes, because a supplier repriced, because an exchange rate moved, or because taxes or fees changed. We will tell you if it does, before you commit, not after.
Unless a quote says otherwise, it covers only what it lists. Anything not named in it — meals, entrances, tips, spending, upgrades taken on the ground — is not included.
05Payment, changes and cancellation
What is payable, and when, is set out in the confirmation and invoice for your journey. So are the terms on which it can be changed or cancelled — those follow the rules of the suppliers holding your booking, and they vary enormously between a city hotel and a chartered boat.
We will always show you those terms before you commit. Where a cancellation charge is levied by a supplier, it is passed on as charged; any fee of our own for the work of composing and rearranging will be stated separately, so you can see which is which.
If you need to change something after a booking is confirmed, tell us early. Some changes cost nothing; some cost the whole booking. The difference is usually a matter of timing.
06Passports, visas, health and entry
Making sure every traveller can legally enter the countries on the route is the traveller's responsibility. That means valid passports with enough remaining validity and blank pages, the correct visas or entry permits, and any vaccinations or health documentation a destination requires.
We will tell you what we know, and help with the paperwork where we can. We cannot guarantee that any visa will be granted or that any border official will admit you, and we are not responsible for a journey lost because a document was missing, expired or refused.
07Travel insurance
Take it, and take it early. Comprehensive travel insurance — covering at minimum medical treatment abroad, evacuation, cancellation and curtailment — should be in place from the moment you commit money to a journey, not from the day you fly. Check that it covers the activities you actually intend to do.
08Where our responsibility ends
We take real care over the arrangements we make, and we stand behind that work. What we cannot answer for is the independent conduct of a supplier, or events beyond anyone's control — weather, strikes, closures, civil disturbance, epidemic, natural events, airline schedule changes or cancellations, and the like.
Where such an event disrupts a journey, we will do what the house has always done, which is redraw it rather than abandon it. What can be recovered financially depends on the suppliers' own terms and on your insurance.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
09What you tell us must be right
Names as they appear on passports, dates of birth, and any medical, dietary or mobility requirement that affects how a journey should be built — these need to be accurate and complete. Airlines in particular charge heavily to correct a misspelled name, and some tickets cannot be corrected at all.
10This website
Everything shown on this website — the journeys, the dossiers, the destinations, the photographs — illustrates the kind of work the house does. It is not an offer, and it is not a catalogue held in stock. Every journey is composed afresh in conversation, so what you see here describes a way of travelling rather than a product waiting at a price.
Photographs are here to convey the character of a place or a journey. They are not a promise that a particular room, view, vehicle or table forms part of what we would arrange for you. What we would arrange is set out in your dossier, and the dossier is the document that governs.
We take care to keep this site accurate and available, and we may add to, change or withdraw anything on it at any time. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of error.
The site is here to be read, and to be written to. Please do not interfere with it, harvest it by automated means, or send us anything through it that is not yours to send.
11What belongs to whom
The name Sunday pure holidays® and its logo are trademarks of the house. They, and the writing, photography, dossiers and journal pieces on this site, belong to the house or are used with permission. You are welcome to read, quote briefly with credit, and share a link. You may not reproduce the material commercially, use the name or the logo as your own, or present any of it as your own work.
Third-party names, logos and marks that appear anywhere on this site — press mastheads, tourism boards, partners, awards, and any brand visible within a photograph — remain the property of their respective owners. They appear to identify a publication, a partnership or a place, and their appearance implies no endorsement in either direction beyond what has actually been given.
12Links away from here
This site links out — to WhatsApp, to our social accounts, and occasionally elsewhere. Those services are run by other people under their own terms and their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
13If something goes wrong
Tell us, and tell us at the time. On a journey, one number reaches us for its whole length, and most problems are solvable while you are still standing in front of them — far less so months later. Afterwards, write to ops@sundaypureholidays.com and it will be dealt with by a person, not a queue.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
15Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms; the date at the top shows when we last did. The terms that apply to your journey are the ones in force when your booking was confirmed.
