What we ask you for, why we ask for it, and what happens to it afterwards — written plainly, because a travel enquiry is a personal thing.

Planning a journey means telling us things — where you want to go, who is travelling with you, sometimes why. This page sets out what we do with what you tell us. It applies to this website and to the enquiries that reach us through it.

01Who we are

Sunday pure holidays is a travel house composing curated journeys from Mumbai, India, at work since 2010. Where this page says “we”, “us” or “the desk”, it means us. Where it says “you”, it means anyone using this website or writing to us through it.

You can reach us about anything on this page at ops@sundaypureholidays.com, or on +91 98336 05550.

02What we collect

Only what you hand us. The concierge form on this site asks for four things, and two of them are optional:

  • Your full name — so a curator can address you properly.
  • Your email address — so we can write back.
  • The destination you have in mind — optional, and often left blank at this stage.
  • A note to the curator — optional. Travel dates, party size, mood, or anything else you choose to tell us.

If you write to us by email, call, or message us on WhatsApp instead, we hold whatever that conversation contains. Nothing more is taken from you than what you have chosen to send.

03What this website does not do

This is worth stating plainly, because most sites cannot. This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording and no third-party trackers. We do not build a profile of you, and we cannot follow you to another site.

The typefaces are served from this site itself rather than fetched from a font network, so simply reading these pages does not announce your visit to anyone else. There is no consent banner here because there is nothing to consent to.

Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages keep ordinary technical logs — the kind a host records to keep a site running and secure. We do not use those logs to identify readers.

04Why we hold it

  • To answer you, and to have the conversation a journey starts with.
  • To compose your dossier — the itinerary, the reasoning behind it, and the revisions it goes through.
  • To make the arrangements themselves: reserving rooms, seats, transfers and tables in your name.
  • To keep the records a business is required to keep once money changes hands.

We do not use your details to advertise to you, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you made an enquiry.

05Who else sees it

A journey cannot be arranged in private. To hold a room in your name, the hotel has to be told your name. So your details go to the suppliers a particular journey requires, and to no one else — hotels and lodges, airlines and rail operators, ground handlers and drivers, local partners at the destination, insurers, and, where a visa is involved, the relevant consulate or embassy.

Each of them receives only what their part of the journey needs. We do not sell your details, rent them, trade them, or pass them to anyone for their own marketing. As the concierge desk itself puts it: your details remain within the atelier.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it of us, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

06Passports and other sensitive documents

Some bookings need more than a name — passport details, dates of birth, visa paperwork, and occasionally dietary, medical or mobility information where a supplier must plan around it. We ask for these only when a confirmed booking requires them, never at the enquiry stage.

When we do hold them, they go only to the supplier or authority that needs them for that specific booking, and they are kept no longer than the booking and its records require.

07International transfer

Most of the journeys we compose are outside India, which means the suppliers holding your booking are usually outside India too. Sending your details abroad is unavoidable if you wish to stay in a hotel abroad. We send only what the booking requires, and only to the supplier concerned.

08How long we keep it

An enquiry that does not become a journey is kept only as long as the conversation is live, and is removed once it is clearly closed. A journey we have arranged leaves a record — what was booked, what was paid, what was agreed — and that record is kept for as long as the law requires records of that kind to be kept, and for as long as a question might reasonably arise about the journey.

If you would rather we did not keep your details at all once a journey is done, tell us, and we will keep only the part we are obliged to.

09Your rights over your details

They are your details, not ours. You may ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold about you, and what we have done with it.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Erase what we hold, where we are not required to keep it.
  • Stop using it for a particular purpose, or withdraw a consent you have given.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf, should you be unable to.

Write to ops@sundaypureholidays.com and we will answer. If our answer does not satisfy you, you are entitled to take the matter to the relevant data protection authority, and we will not stand in the way of that.

10Keeping it safe

Your details are a private matter, and we hold them that way.

  • Who can see it — the curators and administrative staff working on your journey, and no one else in the house.
  • Where it is kept — password-protected business accounts with two-step sign-in, not personal devices, personal email or open shared drives.
  • How it reaches us — this website is served over an encrypted connection, so what you send through the concierge form travels privately.
  • Sensitive documents — passport scans, visa paperwork and the like are removed once the booking they were needed for is complete.

No system anywhere is beyond reach, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we will commit to is this: if information of yours were ever exposed, you would hear it from us — promptly, plainly, and with what we knew at the time — and we would notify the authorities where the law requires it.

11Children

This website is not addressed to children, and we do not knowingly take enquiries from them. Children do travel with us, often — as part of a family booking, where an adult provides their details and consents on their behalf.

12Changes to this page

If how we work changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
